SHERIFF SALES
Date/Time: Sheriff Sales are conducted Monday mornings at 10 a.m. (except Holidays)
Place: The front lobby of the Portage County Courthouse, 1515 Church St., Stevens Point, Wisconsin
Payment: A 10% down payment is required by 12:00 noon on the date of the sale. Payment must be made in cash or certified check payable to the Portage County Sheriff's Department. Payments can be made at the Portage County Sheriff's Department Records Division, 1500 Strongs Avenue, Stevens Point, Wisconsin
Personal Checks Will Not Be Accepted
Other: A designee of the Sheriff conducts the sale. The sale is in the form of an auction. The highest bidder is awarded the property.
Any questions regarding the property should be directed to the Attorney listed on the notice. It is the responsibility of the bidder to check for back taxes, liens, judgments, etc. that are attached to the property.

EFFECTIVE MONDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2011, SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS ON FORECLOSURE SALES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY 10% OF PURCHASE PRICE DOWN AT THE TIME OF SALE.
THIS MUST BE IN THE FORM OF CASH, CASHIER’S CHECK, OR MONEY ORDER. CHECKS SHALL BE MADE PAYABLE TO PORTAGE COUNTY CLERK OF COURTS.
